Jazz Occurrence "Work in Progress" ACT I

Lewis Achenbach has been documenting the music scene in Chicagoland for the past 4 years. With charcoaled fingertips and paint on canvas, Lewis has been capturing the ‘frequency in the room’ imagining ‘sonido sólido’ (solid sound). This discipline has become the Jazz Occurrence project, culminating in performances at the Aurora Public Art Commission (director Rena Church), the Fulton Street Collective, Instituto Cervantes, High Concept Labs (MANA Contemporary) and Constellation Chicago where Lewis produces and paints on canvases surrounded by the curated walls of his Jazz Occurrence Art Exhibition.
